Deep 1:1 work

Select in-depth engagements.

Advising is for senior social purpose leaders who are ready for the next level to cost less than the previous one. Flourish takes a small number of engagements at a time, chosen for alignment and impact.

The work

Rigorous, embodied, curated.

This work matured through five years and thousands of hours of 1:1 practice at Flourish Wellbeing, our founding practice from 2020 to 2025. What began as coaching has evolved into something with more range: part thought partnership, part embodied work, part systems analysis, shaped entirely to the leader in the chair.

How every engagement begins

The Wellbeing Assessment Map (WAM), the leader-level diagnostic built on the Bas Wellbeing Model, maps where your capacity is actually going. It is light on your calendar and heavy on signal: a few thought prompts to begin, a two-hour qualitative interview across nine areas, three in each domain of the model, a few more prompts, and a forty-minute follow-up. You rate your own experience of each area. It’s your meaning map, not a scale of how you ‘should’ feel. It is not a personality quiz. It is a precision instrument built from doctoral research, and it means the work starts from evidence, not vibes.

How the work moves

Through our signature process, the SCA Method: Somatic practices, Cognitive cues, and aligned Actions.

Somatic practices. The body decides first. The breath is one of very few functions it performs both consciously and unconsciously: the in-breath raises the nervous system, the out-breath lowers it. That is a lever a leader can pull inside the meeting, while it is happening, and no one in the room can see it being pulled.

Cognitive cues. Neurons that fire together wire together. A pattern that has stopped serving you is a thought you have rehearsed. We choose the replacement deliberately, and practise it weekly until it is the one that arrives first.

Aligned action. Insight that never reaches the calendar, the org chart or the Monday morning is just an expensive feeling. Aligned action is the small structural change that makes the new pattern survive contact with an ordinary Tuesday.

Working one level produces relief. Working all three, with steady thought partnership alongside, produces results that hold.

What these engagements look like

A leader whose own patterns have quietly become the organization’s constraint. A former client writing the book their transformation earned. A senior leader whose department needs what they have begun to build in themselves.

How it begins

Three steps: rigour, honesty, clarity.

01

Say hello

Send an expression of interest below. Our team reads every one, and we reply honestly, including when the honest answer is a referral elsewhere.

02

A real conversation

If it looks like a fit, we set up a discovery call with Japji. No script, no pitch. You will both know quickly.

03

The work begins

If you both feel it, we sort the logistics and begin with the Wellbeing Assessment Map. From there, the engagement takes its shape.

Expression of interest

Tell us what you are carrying.

A human reads every note.

Received.

Thank you. Our team reads every expression of interest, and if it looks like a fit we will reach out to set up a discovery call.

Japji possesses a talent that is unusual and highly valuable: balancing highly informed, research-based advice with expertise in individualized coaching. I watched her navigate a client past a blind spot with carefully informed questions, without imposing any particular epistemology, a conscientious task few are capable of.

She has a keen sense of what her clients need, regardless of what they say. She reads between the lines and tells you what you need to hear, not just what you want to hear.
