Organizational work

Systems that hold. Impact you can demonstrate.

For-purpose organizations, nonprofits, healthcare teams and values-led companies come to Flourish when the mission has outgrown the systems. We help you scale sustainably, with evidence.

Sound familiar

Most organizations arrive here at the same moment.

Chances are, in the beginning you were five people who understood the vision without having to say it out loud. Now you are twenty-three (or 97), eighteen (or 47) of them are new, and the processes that made you good live mostly in people’s heads. Things that used to work have stopped working, and nobody can say precisely why, because nobody ever had to name why they worked.

That is a growth inflection, not a failure. It is also the point at which relational, responsive organizations either build systems that carry the mission, or lose the thing that made them worth scaling in the first place.

How we work

Built the way research is built.

Conventional consulting puts capital at the bottom line and asks what the mission can afford. Flourish puts the objective at the bottom line and builds the system that serves it. That is not a values statement. It changes what gets measured, who gets asked, and what the recommendation turns out to be.

So the work starts by finding out what is actually true, then constructs systems that hold, and stays long enough to see them run.

Internal Qualitative Assessment

Built on the methodology from Dr. Bas’ doctoral research and validated over six years of cross-sectoral practice. We do qualitative interviews with leadership, managers, and frontline staff, conducting analysis in waves, so the questions evolve as the picture sharpens.

A picture emerges from three perspectives: what the organization intends to do, what leadership believes is happening, and what is actually happening. There is almost always a gap, and the gap is where the work is. We map where information flow bottlenecks, where effort duplicates, where capacity sits unused, and where a process is quietly producing the opposite of its stated intention.

Mission, Vision & Theory of Change

With the truth on the table, we align what you say you do with what you actually do. Mission and vision statements with spines, a theory of change that maps how your work creates its impact, and the progress and evaluation metrics that let you prove it, to funders, boards and yourselves.

Implementation Support

The part most consultants skip. We stay alongside your team while the new systems take root, including evaluation systems your organization runs itself, so the learning does not leave when the consultant does.

Proof, counted and attributed

40,000 youth a year. One evaluation system.

Unity Charity, which reaches roughly 40,000 youth a year, runs on an evaluation system Japji built. Their reported result: 96% of participants showed improved outcomes over three years. Not our number. Theirs.

As I have grown into leadership, Japji has been a steady source of clarity and insight. She helped our organization build a qualitative evaluation system that tracks long-term impact. Since integrating this work, 96% of participants show improved outcomes over three years. Mahad Shoaib, Executive Director, Unity Charity
How it begins

Three steps, then the work.

01

Say hello

Send an expression of interest below. Our team reads every one, and we reply honestly, including when the honest answer is a referral elsewhere.

02

A real conversation

If it looks like a fit, we set up a discovery call. Bring the thing that is not working. We will tell you what we see.

03

Stakeholders & proposal

If we both feel it, we talk with your stakeholders and develop a proposal shaped to your organization. Then the real listening begins.

Expression of interest

Tell us what you are building.

A human reads every note.

Received.

Thank you. Our team reads every expression of interest, and if it looks like a fit we will reach out to set up a discovery call.

Japji’s impact on St. Clare’s has been cumulative, specific, and real. She has helped shape how our leaders lead, how our teams function, and how we think about our future. Behind that impact is a woman who leads with exceptional integrity, is not afraid of complexity, and who shows up, even when showing up is hard. I recommend her without reservation.
Andrea AdamsExecutive Director, St. Clare’s Housing
Japji is a systems thinker able to translate complex research into practice. Her knowledge was impressive, and she is thorough and delivers results in a timely manner.
Christine CampeauGlobal Policy Director (formerly UN Standing Committee on Nutrition)

The mission deserves systems that grow with it.

Tell us what you are building, and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.
